Captured in Salisbury Cathedral
As we now enter a new year and look back on 2023 as beeing a very good and productive one for my new style of photography.
Trying for new insperation I visited Salisbury Cathedral were I have been before but never inside the building and I was so glad I did.
A full day was spent tying various compositions and coming away with this image of two people sitting on the stone benches. the image is very dark and moody which portrays how the cathedral feels.
This was the start of many visits to the cathedral some successful and some not.

Captured in Salisbury Cathedral
After visiting the Cathedral and having produced some images that I am very pleased with I had to return to see if I could add to this cocollection.
This is one of those images that I was not certain whether I liked but in time it grew on me hence making it into my portfolio.

Captured in Salisubury Cathedral
On the same visit as image 519 which was turning out to be a very productive day I captured this image of a croud standing in front of the old clock dating back to 1386 and considered to be the worlds oldest working mechaical clock.
Although I was very pleased with this image the next one turned out to be my all time favourite from my two trips to the cathedral.

This image is not only one of my favouite from the Cathedral but still remains one of my all time best.
It is a man standing by the old clock and I see him dressed in a trench coat maybe going to war?
So many people see my images in different ways.

Captured at Christchurch Harbour
It has been a while since I made a worthy portfolio image, so armed with a new camera and lens I headed down to Christchurch harbour and made this image of the moored boats.
For me what makes this image is the steaks of light made by the suns reflection on the water.

Captured in Salisbury town centre
For those of you who are observant you will see I have changed my camera for a Hasselblad X2D as after using the X1D for a while I decided the X2D better suited my shooting style.
This image was of a girl in a flowing white dress walking in Salisbury town centre which became one of my granddaughters favouite images so she now has it framed on her wall.

Captured in Winchester Hampshire
This was to be one of many trips to Winchester,
Taken at the side of Winchester cathedral under the walkway arches.
In post processing I turned it into a minimalistic image which I think works well.
